This waterfall is on a tributary that enters Lick Creek from the south, rather than on Lick Creek itself. Lick Creek Falls is the Unofficial name of this waterfall. The information presented in this table is meant to help identify and clarify the physical aspects of the waterfall for comparative purposes. While we try to ensure this information is as accurate as possible, sometimes it will prove necessary to either estimate or flat out guess at certain characteristics where either enough information isn't readily available, is not known, or we were not able to confirm a given trait upon surveying.

Flat Lick Falls
Kentucky has had a long and colorful history of iron production over the years. As part of this iron production process, large furnaces had to be built to facilitate the iron production. There were many of these furnaces built across the Bluegrass State, with a few of them still standing today. Among them is the Clear Creek Iron Furnace. Located in the Clear Creek Picnic Area in the Bathe County portion of the forest, this is an extremely easy trip that provides you with the chance to step back in history.
Flat Lick Falls Trail is a 0. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from March until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. The falls are really nice with paved path to an observation area, but there's not much in the way of a trail or hiking. Super easy but we love it!
